I admit to not knowing what technology Kindle uses so this may not make sense but can this App convert Kindle books to pdf etc

All the apps from this developer have this promo.

Many of them have separate SD posts, which is pretty stupid imo.

Yeah, Calibre is great on both Mac and PC. No reason to use anything else.

Why use this app or calibre? Is it so the ebooks are custodied without risks of your property ever being taken away? I think Amazon did take one of my kindle books away once a few years back. Can't remember the reason they gave.
