Having had the service for 2 years now, you would definitely have to pay me to bring me over if I was with another carrier. They're on the same network as Vzw but I had Vzw for 10 years then switched and my reception and data speeds literally took a nosedive. Only reason I stick with Xfinity is because I'm on wifi all day now and I'm paying $30 for two lines.

Yep 90 days service is required, $18(By gig Includes taxes) * 3 = $54, $200 -$54 = $146(NET PROFIT)

You can do google voice, I did one during last month's promotion. If you decide to go with google voice follow these instructions.

Did you already have an Xfinity internet account? Did it ask for your SSN?

Stuck at google voice porting in for days. Google has unlocked number.
I did reuse a sim card from years ago when I had service with xm.
Anyone knows how to resolve this?

Porting in from GV can take several days up to 4, it's treated like a landline.

Also, last month Xfinity rewards had the offer of $100 per line port in and $50 for buying a new phone. I ported a GV number when they were offering the A42 for free. I got an email saying $50 was activated but I don't see anything on the incentive tracker for either the $50 or $100.

Also a word of caution with BYOD. For a BYOD promo last month, my wife had a PIxel 4a that we bought a year after porting into XM. We just moved the SIM at the time and everything worked. That new Pixel wasn't in XM's system so it allowed me to use the IMEI. So I ordered a new SIM porting a GV number. When it said the SIM shipped I started the porting before I had it. It eventually errored during posting. Talked with XM and was told it errored because a different SIM was in the phone. They had me wait until I got the new SIM and and then were able to manualy activate it with their help.

However this assigned a new random number and they had to trigger the port in again. I thought all was well and switched the SIM back to my wife's. Overnight the port started and used her SIM because apparently it is by IMEI not by SIM.

TLDR, it was a big pain to get both my wife's number and the ported number working again. Took a week and like 5 different calls to "level 2" support.

For anyone's that activated their service, do you actually need the phones you entered the IMEI for? Or can you just use one phone and activate each sim one at a time by swapping them?

Sounds like it's provisioned using both the sim and the IMEI, which means you need 10 phones to setup 10 lines. Once they are set up, you can probably pull the sim and put it in any phone that will work on Verizon. I would wager it's not possible to reuse an IMEI since the network will say that device is already in use.

One possible solution to buying a bunch of phones and reselling them would be to borrow friend's/family's phones, that are not on Verizon, to provision your new lines. Should only take a minute, then pull the sim and wait 90 days - good luck convincing 9 people though, lol.

Interesting. I have access to a number of devices, but they're all on a different Verizon mvno. I'm assuming that's gonna cause some issues.

Just a heads up, if youre coming from Verizon, it is very slow and laggy. For a basic phone it's fine.

Xfinity > Visible and not even close. Xfinity is on a higher priority tier than Visible under VZ's network.
Xfinity unlimited is lower priority for with upload limited to 600kbps.
Xfinity by the gig was higher but this changed back in 2019.

I had T-Mobile iPhone 13 unlocked. I tried IMEI this morning and it said "Sorry, having some technical difficulties" and I would not be able to continue with several trials. Eventually, I used my unlocked Samsung Galaxy S8 and completed the order.

Can anyone confirm it is in fact a soft credit pull? Trying to add 4 lines and the website says its a soft pull and won't affect credit score, but not sure if that is actually the case based on what others have reported. If it makes any difference, I am a current xfinity internet customer.

My back up internet is xfinity aat 50 down and 10 up for $20 a month. I do this every year to offset that cost. Keep the xfinity line for 3 months then cancel after getting the reward card. Net profit is about $140 on that and it covers my internet for 7 months..
How do you cancel/port out after 3 months so that you can repeat it?

Did the website say it was doing a hard pull? I'm trying to sign up with 4 lines and it says it's a soft pull, but don't trust it. It wouldn't go through with my credit locked

If you're not buying a phone there should be no mention of credit pulls. Maybe something has changed since I last used them. My guess is they are using the info they have with your internet service and doing a pull just to do a pull.
