I did reuse a sim card from years ago when I had service with xm.
Anyone knows how to resolve this?
Also, last month Xfinity rewards had the offer of $100 per line port in and $50 for buying a new phone. I ported a GV number when they were offering the A42 for free. I got an email saying $50 was activated but I don't see anything on the incentive tracker for either the $50 or $100.
Also a word of caution with BYOD. For a BYOD promo last month, my wife had a PIxel 4a that we bought a year after porting into XM. We just moved the SIM at the time and everything worked. That new Pixel wasn't in XM's system so it allowed me to use the IMEI. So I ordered a new SIM porting a GV number. When it said the SIM shipped I started the porting before I had it. It eventually errored during posting. Talked with XM and was told it errored because a different SIM was in the phone. They had me wait until I got the new SIM and and then were able to manualy activate it with their help.
However this assigned a new random number and they had to trigger the port in again. I thought all was well and switched the SIM back to my wife's. Overnight the port started and used her SIM because apparently it is by IMEI not by SIM.
TLDR, it was a big pain to get both my wife's number and the ported number working again. Took a week and like 5 different calls to "level 2" support.

One possible solution to buying a bunch of phones and reselling them would be to borrow friend's/family's phones, that are not on Verizon, to provision your new lines. Should only take a minute, then pull the sim and wait 90 days - good luck convincing 9 people though, lol.

Xfinity by the gig was higher but this changed back in 2019.
I had T-Mobile iPhone 13 unlocked. I tried IMEI this morning and it said "Sorry, having some technical difficulties" and I would not be able to continue with several trials. Eventually, I used my unlocked Samsung Galaxy S8 and completed the order.
