As for this deal, I think the R5 would be a better buy. Pretty much better in every way except you need to get RF lens to really make use of the R5.

I think the R5 is better too, but it just doesn't have the look of the 1DX II. That was one of the last digital cameras to have that film look that a lot of sports and wedding photographers love
