since they're similar price range, i'd go for this one if you're just gonna use for YouTube. ZV-E10 has a better sensor (APSC) which would be better for low light performance and photography in general, but requires a lens.
I have the ZV-1 and use it for youtube.
You can check out my results if you want. All my most recent videos are shot on the ZV-1.
highs with lowe
I agree with the other poster, the ZV-1 is more versatile unless you have the cash to pay for faster lenses.
If you are just gonna stay with the kit lens, I think you'd be disappointed.
That said, I notice a difference when I compare my footage to footage from an APSC sensor.
It's not as sharp and there is less bokeh.

So, ZV-E10 should produce sharper videos because of the better sensor? Would ZV-E10 with a good lense take share macro shots?

The body is also bigger. This one has it's limitations but if I had a single camera to carry with me and vlog when I'm out and about, this would be on a short list.
Too runaround to start a new thread so I'll just post here since we're discussing the Sony ZV-1. The new cheaper, slightly less featured ZV-1F comes out this week, and if you're an AMEX member who got the Dell $120 off $599 offer, you can use it on this camera. I just placed my order today and added the Alienware backpack to get it just over the $599 line w/ tax. I'm just gonna sell the backpack. If all goes well I'll end up w/ the ZV-1F for $420ish or so after tax Not sure any other discounts like a student one are out there.
