Great specs. Probably the best mobile processor you can put in a laptop. Same processor that was part of the frequent Thinkpad X13 deals over the last 2 months.

That being said, the privacy screens from Lenovo are generally considered poor/weird. This is also 16:9 while many Thinkpads are doing to be transitioning to 16:10

Really good deal for the specs, but I returned mine because the screen (with the privacy filter) looked very weird to me. It seemed like a TN panel because you have to look at the screen dead on, for it not to be washed out? I don't know that's the correct term, but it was weird looking at it, even direct on. Reminded me of looking at a 3DS screen if that makes sense…

Was the issue present when the Privacy Filter turned off? When on, it is supposed behave like a TN panel by reducing the viewing angle.

Very good deal. Must resist as I really don't need a laptop.

I wonder if they would ever offer a good deal with the UHD 500nits screen (probably an overkill for my use with the small screen but it would be nice).

Are you sure about the question you're asking? P1 Gen 2 is a full sized 15.6 inch Mobile workstation with powerful dedicated gpu. Do you think they're even comparable?

Wiki indicates the newer privacy screen panel resolves the issues with previous gen - did you have the newer panel or the OG privacy panel?

Asking the wrong guy. I actually created the wiki section stating what you're saying.

Nice price. I have been a big fan of IBM Thinkpad for a long while.

Yes. It meets all of the requirements for Windows 11. It happens to come with Win 10 most likely because these were manufactured before Windows 11 came out and are for businesses, which are in no rush to upgrade

That was with it disabled.

With it on, your viewing angles are actually limited. Although the screen doesn't turn black like the videos show. If you're trying to spy and look at it from any angle, but dead on, it's really dim and definitely not readable.

It may be okay for other people, but I did not like it on or off.
