Looks like this one has the 400nit screen per the model number? Real good deal if that is true imo.

Hate that 12gb of ram is even a thing. I just bought this with same specs but 16gb ram and an i7-1195g7 for $850 from HP's site. It was one of the timed sales that come and go.

Also, not that it matters for the typical use case for this laptop, but Ryzen 7 5700u is Zen 2.

I don't know if it's different from manufacturer, but I bought a lenovo yoga i7 1165g7 and is hotter then the hp envy 5700u. Ryzen never got hotter then 45c while just surfing and watching video. i7 got up to 69c. And you can definitely feel it very warm on your lap. BTW the 400 nits rating is off. It measure around 350 nits vs the lower end 250nits which can measure upward to 280nit.

So comparing the two screen side by side. The 400 nits version is maybe only one notch brighter. But the color is way better on the 400 nits screen.

Seems 5700u has more core and a lower TDP wattage.

I was debating on getting a cheaper i7, but I ll stick with amd for now then after your post.

Is it just me, or does this seem surprisingly heavy for what it is?

Is RAM user upgradeable? Does it have extra slot for additional SSD? Comes with a HP pen?

Yeah, at this price point and with it being a convertible clearly there was not any focus on making this light. Other corners cut with the USB-C ports not supporting charging or video output.

That's not what's listed in the OP. Not saying you're wrong, but source might help others since there's so much variance with USB-C feature implementations.

O good idea. I should check the screen to see the 400 not hype.
