I have like 6 samsung top end tv's around my house, but the basement which I never ever use, I tossed a cheap front page 65 inch deal on there 6 years ago on the wall. Well, my gf has a ps5, and I play ps5 upstairs in living room. our couch is like 15 feet back from the wall and the 65 inch is greatly reduced in visual appeal.
Shes like please get me a bigger tv, so ive been looking. it doesnt need to be the biggest and greatest but I would like good gaming and good enough pic quality for room mates or her and I to watch tv and not feel like its a crap tv. (honestly we went to costco and all the tv's there looked fine)
My gf even said the 1399 UN9070 that my costco has looked equally as nice as the Sony x91j 86 inch that was beside it for 2199.
Heres the thing, I dont like Sony much, and I read a lot of crap about it sucking for gaming etc.. so honestly, I am kind of writing that off, I saw some people scoring it for 1600 at aafes with a 15% coupon and such, so I feel like I missed that deal and passing on that tv overall.
I actually ordered this tv last night, 1499 + 100 streaming credit + 50 gift card. - but I canceled it, because I said if im spending $ I would like atleast midtier for a little more money.

then I found this immediately after for 1999 and ordered it on spot, but then I googled and found out during Black Friday they included a 200 dollar gift card with it, and since I missed it, I canceled it, since January 2 is coming and maybe it'll go on sale sometime next month or two with a bigger or equal discount. (or new models start coming out) and I can possibly get newer model at 1999

what do you think about the above tv? I am reading about it, comes with 4x HDMI and two of those are 2.1 and has 120 hz, and VRR and dolby vision etc, full array PRO from what I read.
heres the spec list.

if you guys think that is a good quality tv, I will snag it when it goes on next sale, or if doesnt go on sale, costco will prob have the 2022 model of this for 1999 or close to it. the Sony isnt cheap enough to make me jump for it and theres a TON of complaints about it overall. All the rating things I see about the Nanocell are for the cheaper 60hz tv's with edge dimming etc. but this is the full array, 120hz, HDMI 2.1.
spec wise, if I had to buy a tv right now I think even this at 1999 isnt a terrible deal. but 1799 was better with that 200 gift card in value lol
NOW edit- dont get me wrong, if a samsung like Q85 or whatever pops ups at 85 inches at 2k I will buy that over this. I am assuming thats better, I have the Q90's around my house and fricken love these tv's.
but ive never had an LG and I am purely going on what's available today. How much better would this be over the LG nano cell? I saw it was on sale for 2499- but its 2699 now.

the basement is below ground (duh) but I do have 2 led fixtures on the ceiling, but its not direct line of sight, they are left and right of them on the ceiling, so not concerned about glares either, just mainly a nice supersized model, for her to game on, and maybe room mates to enjoy. the 65 inch cheap 400 Vizio has done the job, but I actually bought her a little turtle shell chair to put half way between couch and the tv so she could be closer so when we game we can actually enjoy the tv for her.
