Walking Dead Saints & Sinners is the best game on the list for sale. All the top games I usually recommend for the quest aren't on sale (beat saber, superhot, resident evil, thrill of the fight, population one, onward)
Beat Saber is probably the top game made for VR in general. It's simple to play and hard to master while also being an extreme workout. It's very rare for it to go on sale via Quest. Most people prefer buying it on steam and playing on quest via PCVR given the amount of mods available for the PC version. I've heard they are planning on bringing those options to the quest purchased versions but I'm not sure where that is at this point.
Youtube how to load "sidequest" on your quest via a PC. There are a ton of great free games available to quest via sidequest but requires you to use a PC to set it up the first time. After you do that you can load the games directly onto the quest and not have to worry about the PC any longer. Tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RoIXxIfRNTw
My personal opinions:
Absolute Must Buys:
In Death Unchained: Incredible game, infinitely replayable, amazing. GET THIS.
Walking Dead Saints and Sinners: Pretty great 14+ hour campaign, this is one of the few full featured games on Quest. It's more of a sandbox than a story.
(Not on sale but Resident Evil 4 is a Must Buy even a full price.)
Any bundle with Walkabout Mini Golf if you were considering it anyway. Walkabout is great.
Good Stuff:
Golf+: Full 18 hole golf with driving, putting, etc. The putting isn't quite as good as Walkabout, but it has all the other parts of normal golf too.
Real VR Fishing: This is a must if have any interest in fishing, and even if you don't like fishing it's still damn good. This might have the best graphics on Quest. You can pop up a browser window in game and Plex and Chill while fishing in multiplayer with friends. I know it's weird but this fishing game really is one of the best Quest games.
Worth a Look
Vader Immortal Pack. Short, more of a theme park ride than a game, but at $15 it's ok. The Dojo in episode 3 is the best replayable part, you can get hours and hours in that at least.
Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond. Kind of a mess, still has some performance issues, but even with all the problems this is still one of the only AAA big budget Quest games out there and it feels like it.
Wander: Google Earth Street View in VR. Show your grandmother her childhood home at Christmas.
Tetris Effect: It's just Tetris Effect, but the trippy graphics are way cool in VR.
Moss: This is really great, I wish more games used a third person perspective like this. But the style of gameplay may not be for everyone.
Demeo: Gloomhaven-lite in VR. If you know what that means, then you'll like this game.
Walks of the Wizard: Best handtracking in Quest so far. More content than you probably expect (dungeons).
Journey of the Gods: One of the first Quest games. Feels a bit dated now but there still haven't been many games in this genre, action adventure sort of Zelda ish, so worth a look.
Can personally recommend

What's some good ones you guys recommend? I've only got the Vader one right now.
Gun Club, Space Pirate Trainer, Racket, Synth Riders. I have those and love each one. What I don't have is Swarm and I am thinking of getting that one.
VR would be so much cooler if there were a "walk in place" type platform.
Yes, I know there are a couple out there, but none of them are as good as you would want them to be. Hope technology can get to a point where these things will be reality.
Or we go the other route and do a sword art online style nerve gear.
I just won a Quest 2 in a work raffle and know absolutely nothing about the console. I haven't even set it up yet. What would be some good (cheap) games to get?
