I don't know if it's a good deal or not but it's a cool little set.

12 Point Design. Not practical for most applications, but useful if you only need the open ended wrench portion.
Almost every single box wrench is going to be 12 point.

Useful for torx bolts on MBs when you need it in a bind 😉

Non-ratcheting box end wrenches are practically always 12-point. This allows for a 30° swing arc to position, turn, and reposition the wrench. A 6-point box end with a 60° swing would only work well if there's a ton of space around the fastener, which is seldom the case in a crowded engine bay.

And they don't slip or strip bolt heads (except in extreme cases of already rounded or highly corroded bolts). In fact, 12-point box end are often my go-to wrenches for tight fasteners.

I have this set. Only thing I don't like is the case. The red sections in the front that swivel don't latch into place.

I'm pretty sure this is the regular price I paid a few weeks ago.

Lowes currently has a similar 30 piece set for $19.99 https://www.lowes.com/pd/Kobalt-3...1001448140

For what it's worth, the Kobalts are made in India while the Huskies are from China.

Both sets skip sizes, so make sure that the set you choose has the sizes you need for what it is that you'll be working on.

Is there typically a difference in quality with tools made in India vs China?

I cant count the number of times I've used a hammer to the side of a wrench or hooked 2 of them together for a bit of extra leverage. Anything more than a 12 point wrench would be wrecked.

Are these actually any better than the Pittsburgh stuff from HF? I've had a set for ages - now missing a few that I've lost so it's time for a new set.

just a note, hd has been great at honoring their lifetime warranty for me. just bring a broken tool in and get a replacement, no receipt needed.if they dont have the exact tool you can choose an equal or greater value one in its place.
