Be careful on these Amazon and BestBuy because I believe when you activate then they will take over the management of subscription instead of Microsoft.

Correct which is why I am avoiding this for now till there is more clarity on sub.

I ordered this deal November 28th 2021. My current subscription, directly through Microsoft, was set to expire on December 26th 2021. When I entered it in it extended my subscription to December 26th 2022. I turned off auto renewal with amazon and will revisit later next year, but will more than likely just do this deal again as they seem to offer it often.

How will this work if I have a 3 years of Personal 365 left? I do want to switch to a Family plan. Can I just buy this and convert to Family plan? Any idea what the conversion rate is like?

Can I purchase this now, and "activate" it many months later to still get 12 months? Or does it activate at time of purchase?

If I have a personal plan now, can I buy this to "upgrade/modify" the plan to a family one?

I THINK you can still add Microsoft codes to your subscription to extend but you have to do it at Amazon subscription page. If you try to go to My Subscriptions on Microsoft website it just kicks you over to Amazon or Bestbuy. This is all what I've heard from Slickdeals and also a friend who mistakenly got his pulled over to Bestbuy with a code purchase there one year

Yuck that's horrible. So unless you started your 365 subscription using your amazon account, very likely there's no way to "extend" your existing sub using this. Thank you for the info

That I am not sure about. I think it would potentially extend your account by a year but would also pull the subscription management over to Amazon, which may or may not complicate future code stacking. I know someone who had a bestbuy managed account and they were able to enter a code they bought off eBay and it seemed to work so maybe the whole fear of Amazon or Bestbuy is overdone? Maybe someone who reads this and actually has the Amazon managed account dashboard can confirm. I just don't want my Microsoft managed sub to get sucked over to Amazon so I am walking past this deal

Desperately? Sort of like how almost every company that offers a subscription offers great deals every now and then?

I've had M365 for years and to be honest, rarely see anyone say it sucks (except math-challenged people who say subscriptions are a bad deal).

Just finshed extending the subscription with Amazon order. Had susbsciption renewed till jan 2023 last month with Amazon purchase, Added one more year. Amazon merged the licneses in to one license with new date as Jan 2024.

This is very good deal. Not only you get Office 365 for family (up to 6) but also get 1TB of one drive for 6 members. You are not going to get better deal than this if you are MS user + need cloud drive.
