Unfortunately for those that don't have the time to play a ton of games, such as me, GP is really expensive compared to Gold, especial to get GP Ultimate. I would love GamePass but cannot justify the cost currently. If I had the time to game more regularly I would probably find more value in GamePass though and can definitely understand the value for others.

You can stack Gold and upgrade to Ultimate Game Pass for around $4/mo (or less), hardly what I'd call "really expensive" You're on SD, I surely hope you aren't paying month to month at full price. Mind you, even if you can get a good deal, it doesn't buy you more time to game.

If you already have Gold, you can convert 3 years of it to Game Pass Unlimited for a dollar. You can also use MS Rewards to earn enough points each month to pay for Game Pass.
