The FDA allows a certain amount of Bugs, Rat hair and poop in our food. I'll take the chance on red bug pigments.

I've eaten these when the regular kind was sold out. They really have a sour bitter powder funk to them that I was not a fan of. So much so that I just threw them away and bought the berry variety which is my favorite. But then again, I'm not big into the natural stuff. So if that's you, then these might be what you need.
