A prime example of what makes gaming as a medium so powerful. For me it sits alongside Journey, Portal, Bioshock, and Shadow of the Colossus as the best video games has to offer. Don't pass up on this if you care about gaming as an art form.
Played it 6-7 years ago on PC, I'm not sure if the Switch version is any different. The gameplay mechanics are overall just fine but at one point the atmosphere\tone\setting takes a really dark turn totally unexpectedly, and you're forced to take part in some very graphic gore-focused scenes\puzzles to progress, most of it very close-up (easily the largest volume of blood I've ever seen depicted in a game). I understand that the vast majority of gamers have near zero concern for the content of games these days, but if you're conscious of such things don't let the T rating fool you. On common sense media [commonsensemedia.org], even parents who gave lower age ratings admitted that they wouldn't let their kids watch some of these scenes from the side, let alone play through the whole game on their own. It's not a good sign when kids think a T-rated game is best for 14+.
Also later in the game the characters make some dumb decisions you're forced to go along with. Due in part to these things, the emotional roller-coaster of the story just felt overly melodramatic and didn't resonate with me at all.
It was disappointing because I liked the idea of a story told without dialog as well as the two-character puzzling aspect which worked quite well overall.

Each brother is controlled by a different thumbstick/d-pad (1 player) or one by each of two players (2 players/coop).
I remember it being fairly short, taking a few shorter sessions over a few nights, and REALLY feeling pleased about the whole thing. I found it relaxing, just challenging enough, and I liked the art style.

The difference between the Switch version and all others is that it allows for 2 players to control the brothers.
The other versions do that as well.

I think you misunderstood. The Switch version allows 2 controllers. No other versions are designed for that. Look it up on the wiki.
