I bought this a little bit ago and it's a mediocre device at best. It works fine with Alexa and via iPhone app, but the "patterns" are largely random and not pleasing to use at all. I would have rather used a remote.

Mostly using it for solid colors and occasionally music with only one preset. Most presets make the LED strip look like it's defective or broken...

At this price, I guess it's ok though.

My daughter (almost 13) got these, but the 16.5' version, for Christmas, and she LOVES them. Going to buy this so I can finish out the perimeter of the ceiling in her room.

While there are many seemingly random patterns as one poster says above, there are just as many that are reasonably representative of what their name indicates.

Again, my 13 year old LOVES them.
