A tip on wearing these: I like to cut off the little rubber label on the bottom of the wire loop, it makes them more comfortable and is less conspicuous.

I have always found that wire sticking out horizontally from the back when wearing, off-putting.

Not sure how practical and comfy these would be.I bought the floating eyeglass retainer after I lost a pair in rough surf.They are made of foam and I really like them.

Yes they are. They prevent them from falling in the water. I work on a boat and although I've used other brands in the past I'm picking these up.
