Recently they were giving 1 month codes for Curiosity with each rental, but this one is for 6 months for free, then it is $2.99/month after. The 6 month code is in the email sent.

I really like Curiosity Stream. I don't use it as often as Netflix or Amazon P, but I do like it. Nice stuff on there.

If you don't subscribe to redbox and get a code for 6 months, the standard HD subscription is only $15/year right now. Good through 1/16.

OK, so I am curious as to how Red Box manages to stay in business these days as I thought their model was dvd rentals from kiosks? Combine the streaming with the pandemic madness and the fact that most new movies are total and complete garbage imo, I can't see how they make enough money to survive.

They just merged with another company valuing them at close to $700 million and are going public. That will keep them afloat for the foreseeable future. The merger raised $200 million in cash.They are expanding their horizons beyond kiosks investing in film distribution and video on demand with paid and ad-supported tiers. The are also creating original content through Redbox Entertainment division and plan on having over 30 new titles available per year.
