In order to swap cards and avoid re downloading all your games:

1. POWER OFF the switch (not sleep mode, all the way off)
2. Remove SD card, pop in new one
3. Boot system and format SD card
4. Power off again and remove
5. USING A PC, copy all the files from the old SD card to the new one
6. Put new SD into Switch and power on

SD card is worth about $20. Seems like a good deal.

For a single user, it's an alright deal if you need the SD card. $20 is the standard price for an individual online membership so the card would cost $15. Family plan is meant for sharing so you could add on a few folks to take advantage of your online membership and even charge them a few bucks like another SDer suggested.

This doesn't include the expansion pack upgrade which is a separate cost. The upgrade gives you access to all game expansion packs for free in addition to official Sega and N64 emulators.

Wait for the next sale and then renew. I noticed it happens once or twice last year

Can you please explain how this works ?
You can invite up to 8 people total to share your online membership for free. There isn't any other connection to the accounts (you can't share games or log in to their accounts for example) and the people you add will have online features unlocked. They were just suggesting to make a shout out to people on reddit to see if anyone was interested in sending you a few bucks to get added to your Online membership.

Retail $103 is a joke. It's $35 for family membership, and $20 for better SD card at amazon

Can you stack the membership codes? (Ie. If I buy 2 of these can I load up both codes for 2 years of family membership)?

Would this membership need to get redeemed by a certain date? Or can I buy it now and redeem later?

I'm new to the Switch world. Is this still a good deal if I only need an individual membership?
It's an ok deal for an individual. The card goes for around $20, $15 on sale.

From the family plan perspective, it makes the card free and you can add up to 7 more people.

I just got 2x256 cards for $50 at costco, and I only needed 1 immediately, have to swap the other one and now got bunch of nintendo branded SD cards.
I have 1 year family already, will this extend the membership is it worth getting?
