There seems to be some haters here....

This tablet is AMAZING for the price. Here is a rundown of the pro's and cons.

Pro's:
1. It's a Chromebook, HUGE advantage such as updates until June 2028, updates by google, frequent updates. Chromebooks are considered to be the most secure OS around (besides Linux). So it is safer and more secure then apple OS or Microsoft OS or Android.
2. The screen is nice. Not great for outdoors since it goes up to 400 nits, but considering that laptops are sold today that only go up to 250nits... this screen is pretty good. The Fire HD10 screen has 440nits.
3. Battery life is INCREADABLE... this is due to a weak CPU/GPU. Lenovo states over 16 hours... I get over 12.
4. has 3.5mm headphone jack
5. Chrome is the full windows based app, so addons would work on this browser. Chrome on Android is not a full version of Chrome... this is truly a HUGE advantage.
6. No bloatware on Chromebooks per google.

Cons
1. Speakers are weak but this is a tablet... my Samsung tab S7 speakers are not as good as my $10.00 Bluetooth speaker. Also, my 9 year old has not complained once about the speakers.
2. ONLY 32 GB hard drive and no micro SD card. While this is low, you get over 18G of free space after all updates are done. This is plenty of space for many apps such as Facebook, messenger, brave, gmail, hotmail, etc...
3. Some apps may not work... the only two that I know is Call of Duty and Sky: Children of the Light. One issue is that this Chromebook is running 32bit Android 9 OS under the Chrome OS. Call of Duty last update made the game a 64bit game, it use to work but no longer does. And the other game only works on SD and apple CPU. Every other app that I wanted has worked. great. And this tablet can run Linux apps and if you want mind craft you will need to enable Linux and download and run the Linux version.

So I highly recommend this tablet... we have not had one issue with this tablet. I purchased this tablet for my 9 year old and she plays Roblox all the time.

There are four tablets that have extremely similar speeds and each app/game should work very similar between the 4 tablets.....

Lenovo P11 = Samsung TabA (4GB version) = Fire HD10+ = Lenovo Chromebook 10e. The SD662 and the MT8183 are very similar in speed. Based on this list, there is only one Chromebook tablet and based on the advantages of a Chromebook OS... to me it is a no brainer get the Lenovo 10e.

IF YOU GET THIS TABLET... PLEASE READ....
1. First thing to do is to update this tablet, youtube how to update the Chrome OS (it is not through setting... but through Chrome). You need to update this tablet three times before it is fully updated and this took me a long time.

2. Google wants you to stream through Chrome. So google has provided widevine Level 1 support only through Chrome and not through any app. So my advice, if you want to stream in HD quality is to use Chrome and go to netflix.com or amazon.com or hbo.com or disney.com etc... ALSO, this saves harddrive space cause you never downloaded and installed the app.

3. Try not to run to many apps at once and try not to have to many tabs opened in Chrome at the same time. So you need to learn how to close apps. It is very easy to never close an app and then you notice your tablet slowing down. If you want your tablet to run at peak performance limit the amount of apps you have going on at the same time. This statement can be said for most tablets on the market.

4. There is a small learning curve to understand how to use Chrome OS. Just be patient and use YouTube as a guide.

Super unlikely, as this tablet uses an older build of the CPU that is used in the fire hd. This one is 2.0g w four cores and the fire hd is 2.0g w eight cores.

You have both. You can get apps from the play store.

I'm not so sure about this tablet. I bought it for $79 and it is OK. I find it a bit difficult to do some simple things because of the lack of keyboard. I have to tap and open settings menus rather than push one key, like to get full screen.
I have dark mode enabled, but it seems to make some areas beige with white text, and basically unreadable. Wish it had auto brightness.
I'm going to try some of the Android apps to replace the Chrome ones and see if that helps, but the limited storage might make that a problem.

I love the plastic back, the screen, and having a decent bezel space to hold it by. It is nice that it boots up so fast, as my old Sony tablet took minutes before it was barely useable. But the Sony was so thin and light compared to this.
I also like that LastPass works well on this, and so far, printing has been working.

I use this more than the $300 iPad which I really don't care for at all. That hollow screen feel is just weird!

Amazon's is 8-core if that matters to you, but less RAM. Much better overall anyway.

Probably a silly question but can this do HDMI out to my HDTV with a USB-C to HDMI adapter?

Does anybody know that I can load Apple Carplay into it? YouTube has some videos for into Android OS, but doesn't mention about Chrome OS. Thanks

Based on the Verge article, they both use the same CPU. Amazon doesn't publish pecs openly, but from what I could find MT8183 (same as this tab) is octacore. Not sure who to believe at this point
Believe Lenovo's Product Specifications Reference (PSREF) for Part Number: 82AM0002US

https://psref.lenovo.com/Detail/L...82AM0002US

Processor: MediaTek MT8183 (8C, 4x A73 @2.0GHz + 4x A53 @2.0GHz)

The Lenovo 10e Chromebook (Part Number: 82AM0002US) uses the exact same Octa-core SoC that is in the Amazon Fire HD 10.

Will this power zwift for cycling?
Just checked - Zwift app installed and seems to work fine. Haven't connected any sensors yet, but it does load up.

"pro" tip:

you can save the bookmark any URL as a shortcut on the desktop, but opening it in its own window, effectively making it an "app"

go to the url
open the three dots menu
select more tools
select create shortcut
enter a name and check open as window
done!

The original youtube app seems to get stuck on loading google ads on the side bar.... But the web version seems to doing perfectly fine.

Has anyone mounted these into their cars so the kids can stream Disney+ off a hot spot? Looks like an affordable way over an iPad?
I do that with fire hd tablets

I have been using this from last one month. It is amazing but sometimes I feel that its running slowly and apps lag. Anyone want to suggest any way to improve performance? Did anyone installed some other OS on this for better performance?

This with a keyboard case vs a Duet?

And would a volume booster app take care of most of the sound issues?

Same deal during Thanksgiving. I ordered it and returned.
It comes with Low power Charger.
Takes hours to charge.
And has old hardware, which eventually slow down the device (way sooner).
Build quality is not great.

Well that is what you expect from a $99 device. I didn't find it was worth it.

Got this for my 12 year old son for XMas. He uses it just like an android tab. Seriously wonder if he's aware its not... LOL
IMO it's much better, long term support (7yrs) and no useless bloatware
