This product can work, but it has a scent that can take 2-3 washes to get rid of...
Isn't regular oxiclean powder like $2/lb? Seems to be a better bang for your buck

Edit: "white revive" formula apparently different
Nevertheless, $2.63/lb at Walmart

Thank you for this comment. I failed to notice these were scented.

Seems like you are paying for the convenience of the small packs.

Slickest deal might be getting a large tub of OxiClean when it is on sale.

This is a better deal if you are able to operate a scoop: https://smile.amazon.com/OxiClean...B00QKIHXCE

The powder version didn't dissolve well and left over a lot of white powder even with a double rinse.

I use the product often and I noticed this before. What helps is to run the water for the washer, while it's filling scoop about 1/3 of the product. Let the water run into the 1/3 scooped oxy and it mixes, repeat 2 more times. It will dissolve it better and not have white areas on the clothes.

Thanks for the tips. I normally put it in the drum then place clothes on top and walk away.

I put it in the pull out drawer of my front loader. Never have an issue. Putting direct in the drum it could clump, get stuck to clothes before it dissolves. Also, oxy likes warmer water so if you use cold it might not fully dissolve. I always do a warm wash, cold rinse.

Is it really? Or is it just a different marketing approach? I've brightened up plenty of dingy old shirts and towels with just the regular oxy powder and detergent.

I would guess they're just different marketing angles to sell more product. I use the same powder to clean clothes, clean an old ceramic sink that collects stains and so on.

Any input on if this will remove the yellowing from sweat/oil on white sheets? Regular bleach doesn't bring it white again

I've had it whiten bad pit stains on white workout shirts and stained collars. I would get a 10 gallon paint bucket, fill it with hot water, mix in a couple scoops of oxy clean and stuff the sheets in and just let them soak for a long while. Then run them through a hot wash cycle with the oxy and detergent.

I always let difficult stains soak for a while first. I even boil water so it stays warm longer.
