Ted Chiang is a brilliant writer. His stories are deep and thought-provoking. For those who may not be familiar with him, he wrote "Story of Your Life" on which the movie Arrival was based.

Absolutely brilliant collection of short stories, at this price there should be no hesitation if you don't yet own this book. Also strongly recommend Stories of Your Life, known for the original short story that became the film Arrival, but also contains one of my all time favourites - The Tower of Babylon.

The tower of Babylon is also one of my favorites from him! Though it's in his first anthology of short stories.

He is an excellent writer with very imaginative and captivating stories. I highly suggest anyone to grab a copy or to borrow it from your local library or even get the audio book versions which are pretty good too.

That story is in a different collection, "Stories of My Life," but both books are excellent reads
