I just finished it last week, and this is a dead on assessment. It was an Ok way to pass the time for $10, but the story did nothing for me. I spent most of the game riding cargo drones...

Game gets hated on but i find it fun, got it for $6 something at gamefly when they had it on sale. Would say its good for $10. Story is kinda meh and there is no real protagonist, but as someone that hated the first watch dogs and enjoyed the second this falls somewhere in the middle of the two in terms of enjoyability. Looks really good on next gen.

This is an awful game. Easily the worst of the series, which already didn't have any strong entries. The ability to play as almost anyone you come across is its weakest link. There aren't any characters to care about, because they all just feel like different tools for the job. It's also ugly and controls like a late PS3/early PS4 game. It's not worth the time for free.

I've never played a WD game before, but the combination of the 'recruit anybody' mechanic, the vast amount of customization, & playing on iron-man/hardcore mode (where your operators will die & be gone for good if you play recklessly) created an amazing sense of permanence & connection with my squad that i haven't felt since the newer XCOM games. Kinda more of casual, stealthier GTA, but the permanence grounds it in reality enough to not feel effortless.

Similar to another poster: I find this one to be the weakest in the series. Is it fun? Somewhat. Especially if you can get it on the super cheap. But it's ridiculously short unless you grind through all of the meaningless side quests / games.

Sure, you can sit there and play darts or "footie" for hours on end though...

I couldn't agree more with this statement. It creates a break in any kind of comradery your mind would form. It's the equivalent of paying an Agent Smith, ala Matrix, and just assuming ghost toons.

There is an issue where some of the discs do not read. Not sure if Ubisoft has fixed this problem. Be careful with this purchase.
