are these cheap batteries like bb insignia for low current draw devices.

In my experience they're not as good as Energizer but better than low end batteries like Amazon basics. So middle of the line. They have never leaked or exploded on me and I have been using them for close to 8 years now.

so they should be good for low current draw devices like remote controls, smoke alarms, alarm sensors, etc,

Agree, perhaps even "upper" middle. I researched previously and found them to be very cost effective even for higher draw use. In fact Forbes in a 2/16/21 article stated: "Best Budget AA Batteries: ACDelco Super Alkaline Batteries".
