Not my favorite router, but it's a worth $125 for sure if you're already on the platform.

Now... let's see who comes out with a mid sized 18v-20v router this year. ;[@"& 😀 😉

How does this compare with the Dewalt 20V Max XR Cordless Router ?

EDIT: wow, it has high marks here - https://www.protoolreviews.com/be...r-reviews/

I got the Dewalt on sale for $99 from Amazon not too long ago from this older deal - https://slickdeals.net/f/15477502-2-pack-dewalt-xr-20v-max-5-0ah-li-ion-battery-charger-kit-select-bonus-tool-199-free-shipping

Also, FWIW, this is not "Sold By: Amazon" but sold by JBTools (which I think is legit)

It looks like there a number of other sellers selling for close to this price point now (I'm guessing a number of them are 'fake' fraud sellers) so just make sure of who you're buying from.

I got this exact item (from "JBTools" for $125+tax) for Christmas; however, I already had one. I returned to Home Depot for $213 in store credit, the Amazon return credit offer was $133.

Not saying that you should try to use these to make money at Home Depot, but it's just proof that this is a good deal
This is fraud and a slimy thing to do. Mad

I rank the Dewalt as last. The 50 year old Twist depth control they use (along with the 616/618).

For a company that bought ELU 20 years ago, you'd think they'd make great routers.

Personally, I rank Makita 1st in palm routers. (Mainly due to their plunge base and durability.)

Bosch Colt 1.25hp (Not the 1hp. The 1hp is really weak in comparison and feels cheap. Its like a Rotary tool level of power lol.) Plus the Bosch doesn't have a good cordless palm router. Their 12v is great for edging, but that's really it. It's really fotlr like ¼" roundovers, and spiral/compression bits.

I think the Milwaukee gets so much praise due to its powahhhh. Lol. Most people these days seem to look at tools like "Torque = Quality". But a router needs a great deal of precision as well. And the Milwaukee will be fine on things like rough carpentry, and drywall cutouts. But it's got a bit too much oomph, for its size, to be precision based.

Palm routers require a lot of balance as well. I'm

Agree. HD associate told me yesterday they had an internal memo that they're going to stop accepting returns at end of month without receipts or card used to purchase. Probably due to these kinds of things.

And how were they able to return an item without a HD sku? When HD, or lows scans an item, if it's not from a HD or Lowe's the computer can tell. I've seen people try that on a few occasions, and it gets caught by their system.

Thanks for ruining it for everyone else who actually legitimately buys from HD. This is fraud and a scumbag move.

I find the Milwaukee to be quite variable in my use. The difference in power between 1 and 6 is pronounced.
