Stand By Me part 1 and 2 on Netflix so can feel more close to characters for who don't know much Doraemon

Story of Season is the new name for the original Harvest Moon series, which was one of the big inspirations for Stardew Valley. I suggest trying the free demo, as there are alot of similarities, but also some differences that some people may not care for.

Also, there is still a Harvest Moon series, but that's name only. After the name was purchased the original creators disagreed with the direction it was being taken and split. Thus Story of Seasons was born.

I read/watched doraemon when I was a kid. The fundamental flaw here is that boy was a lazy/incompetent prototype. I just cannot imagine him working hard in a farm.

This is the best looking Story of Seasons game, but the gameplay isn't as good. There is no romance. Some of the other mechanincs are dumbed down. It's really slow to get started. It's just as much a Doraemon game as a Story of Seasons game.

It's the classic underdog boy coming home crying Doraemonnnnnn…I got bullied again. Give me some magical thing!. Yeah thinking about it Nobita is pretty dumb but he got a good heart. I grew up reading manga in Asia. This was one of my favorite.

Edit. Did you read the final episode though? You can probably find it online. It brought tears to my eyes and the lazy boy grew up and may not be lazy after all when properly motivated.

I never imagined seeing face of Draemon on frontpage of Slickdeals. I got very excited when I saw this deal. I used to watch Draemon TV show while growing up in Japan. We went to see Draemon movies at the movie theater. This deal post makde my day (or year)! The year of 2022 seems already bright! LOL

To me this is not a story where the character develops overtime. It is a collection of mini stories in which the people's ego are frozen - So you can watch the episodes backwards perfectly fine. Therefore I won't accept the character being different in a Nintendo game.

I agree some people said the original story is classic because all of us see our own weakness reflected in this boy, not the author demonstrating even a weak boy can grow to a mature man, a Shachiku, or a hero.

Doreamon is more popular than Disney, Hello Kitty, Dragonball, or Pokemon in Japan. It has been around much earlier than all of them too. It's just sad that America never understand it.

Agree grunting noises are a bit annoying when chopping a big tree lol

And my god the beginning tutorial is super tedious and long. Half way through I found out how to skip some scenes and even then was still super long.

Then they force you to farm in front of them. If you already played story of seasons before would be nice to be able to skip that 15+ min intro. makes me feel like I'm going through a mandatory compliance training for work lol
