Explain this to me. My kid has perhaps 100 minifigs. I live in a small apartment and his toys take up a third of my living room. The minifigs are currently in jars and in those compartmentalized plastic tackle boxes. I could see a more expensive container for treasured minifigs, but are there other advantages to these storage units over the tackle boxes? I must get more minifigs per inch and a tackle boxes. Are the display cases easier to open, stock, mount?
The key word is "display". Tackle boxes, jars etc may be more practical, but they're also something you need to store, whereas these are meant to act as decor in your room.

I recently painted my bedroom and I'm going to hopefully hang these up.
But remember that the sun will damage / discolor LEGO.

Lakeside is a company that sells junk to old people. Most of the horrible reviews are just the stuff takes forever to arrive.

Could lego Mario characters fit in these? I'm talking about goomba, koopas, maybe even Mario himself?

I have an older style that holds 8. There is no way Mario would fit, the smaller characters might. This newer style does look bigger. A 4x4 plate is in each box, so if the characters are smaller than a 4x4 plate then you will be fine. Mario I think is still too big.

This is the red display from LEGO.com

These are not good for storage. These are just if you want to display them. I bought the Simpson's series and Disney series and have them in these. My kids have their favorite mini-figs in here. You hang these on the wall but they only hold 8 or 16. Some of the bigger/taller figures won't fit in these to display.

No. I have some of these displays and my son has lots of the Mario stuff. Mario won't fit.

Look @ this for inspiration and modify it to your heart's delight. I took the easy way and didn't make a shadow box, but rather glued it directly to the acrylic sheet. Used a gift wrapping paper w/ a grid on the back as a background, so aligning is simplified too.

They have so many other things on sale as well. Their memory photo ornaments are 75% off and we love to give those as gifts when someone loses a loved one. I bought 25 of them to keep on hand. They were 75% off.

I use these for storage of a lot of minifigures in a small space. They fit well and are cheap: https://www.harborfreight.com/24-...94458.html

They also don't use an inventory linked ecommerce system. Case in point, I can order 99 16 figure cases right now if I want, I can almost guarantee you they don't have that many on hand and if they are trying to get rid of inventory I don't expect they will place a stocking order with lego. I would be surprised if ever order is filled based on the number of item people say they are ordering.

Cool. My kid has about every gift that I could give to an 8-year-old. So maybe this would be something to give him to display at his mom's
