In for one, need a cheap set for the boat. Would most likely have gone to HF for my needs but this was a pretty good deal for a set that will most likely rust out and need to be replaced eventually.

I would say the quality is higher than the price point so a good value depending on your needs.

Thanks OP

12-pt is easier to get on in a hard-to-reach spot, but also slips easier. For sockets, I always go 6-pt. For wrenches like this, I'm fine with 12-pt.

This or a set of adjustable wrenches in the same price range from harbor freight?
Also how are these for general use around the house for a beginner?

Thanks in advance. Smilie
I'd probably get a set of adjustable for around the same price. There was a 3 piece kobalt set at Lowes clearanced. Price: $12.88 Item: 1000004730

Check the app or website for in-store location. I found these in the hardware aisle.

Non-ratcheting box end wrenches are practically always 12-point. This allows for a 30° swing arc to position, turn, and reposition the wrench. A 6-point box end with a 60° swing would only work well if there's a ton of space around the fastener, which is seldom the case working on vehicles and equipment.

And they don't slip or strip bolt heads except in extreme cases of already rounded or highly corroded bolts. In fact, 12-point box end are often my go-to wrenches for tight fasteners. As long as the fit is good and the fastener is in decent shape, you don't need to worry about using 12-point box end wrenches.

I have used a set of these for about a year and they are great quality even at $25. They are made in India and have really good edges. It's time for good Made in India to take over Made in China junk.

Grabbed 2 sets this morning at the west broad Street location in Richmond VA and there were still at least 8-10 sets left. These were in the tools area right next to the ratchet sets. I was on the fence for $25 but for $12.47 these will serve their purpose fine

None of my Kobalt tools have rusted. Perhaps your humidity is too high?

Took a little hunting but found a set. It was in a different location from what the app said but in the same area. Lifetime warranty too

Grabbed me a set today. Much easier for my old eyes to read compared to my 35 year old Craftsman set. Same can be said for my old sockets, I need reading glasses and good light to see those thingsFrown
