I picked up 7 of these and 4 of the JBL Link Portable (same wattage, just have a battery -$45) for wireless Airplay 2 music throughout my house. Works perfectly and they put out more sound than you'd think
Did ya take it up to the register and check? Quite a few stores still had the Link Portable marked at $90.00 but they rang up at $45.00. I grabbed a few Link Music's last week for $30.00. Both of these JBL's sound really good compared to my 4th gen Echos and Nest Audios. The Link Portable is very cool just because it doubles as a portable bluetooth speaker and I actually like it's sound more then my Charge 4.

My stores were Portsmouth NH and North Hampton NH. Home Depot app/website will say not in stock. Only way to confirm price/availability is to go to the store. If your store has 13, I'd say there's a good chance they'll ring up at $30 for the music, $45 for the Portable.
I found the speakers in 3 different locations in the stores. First, in the racks above your head in the aisle. Second, one store had the portable ($45 ones) in the security cabinet up front. You had to get a tear ticket in the aisle and bring it up to the front. Finally, one store had moved them to the clearance aisle on the other side of the store. So, if you can't find them don't give up right away. If all else fails, ask someone for help. Good luck!

I still need to try and find a store that dropped the Link Portable to $45. I bought two for $90 each a few days before it dropped to $45 and now they're out of stock. I tried to go to the store with my receipt after I saw an earlier post but when she scanned the item it still rang up as $90 in their system.

Does the Portable sacrifice sound quality for the portablility? I'd like one for the living room and am trying to figure out if the Music will sound significantly better? Or do they sound pretty similar with the Portable just having additional features?

They did check the price and still came up as 113 and 170

I haven't listened to one of my Link Musics yet but the Portable sounds just as good as my Echos and Google Audios. Both the Music and the Portable have the same wattage and 2.5" driver so I'm assuming they sound similar. If ya don't need the portability I'd go with the Link Music. Keep in mind that it's pretty cool to just grab the Portable off it's base and take it with you to the garage, basement or deck.

Sounds like I should get a Portable if available. Thanks.
