I played Far Cry 3, 4, 5, Primal and New Dawn, and can say 6 is the worst of the bunch. It just doesn't have the "feel" of a Far Cry game. Computer movement is limited, more cartoony than realistic, and there are product placements I just cant wrap my head around (theres a whole mission about helping Daniel Trejo and Trejo's tacos).

Having said that, it's good at this price point

Great price but the reviews are not. Sounds like the game needs to be updated to be enjoyable.

Got a used-very good copy for $18.50. Reviews are bad but I get the impression it's mostly people who have played all the other Far Cry games. First time players seem quite happy with it.

At this point I will wait until it is $15 or less. I just played Far Cry 5 which I think I got for $12 last summer I think on Xbox store, I have played them all since the original Far Cry. I cannot believe how quickly this particular Far Cry has dropped! I am sure it is just the same as the rest of them, rinse, wash, repeat, with a couple new game mechanics we will likely see in FC 7. I like the games, but they do get kind of boring after a while.

Haven't had the desire to play this one, jus didn't look that great. FC5 is a very good game though. Really enjoyed that.

You don't need to have played FC5. Each is independent. That said, you're better off picking up FC5 for cheaper while you wait for this to hit the bargain which it will soon considering the quality.
