Herzog Zwei is a real gem if you like RTS games though the Genesis controls are a bit limiting.

A lot of other savings on Sega Ages titles as well, starting at $2.79: https://www.nintendo.com/games/ga...ega%20ages

Sega Ages titles are ports of Sega arcade and Genesis titles, that generally have nicer interfaces and some added features. Most of these titles are not included with the Sega Genesis Classics application that comes with a premium Nintendo Online subscription.

I'd recommend the following two at $5.99, as their quality of life updates really enhance the original experiences:

Phantasy Star: https://www.nintendo.com/games/de...ar-switch/

Outrun: https://www.nintendo.com/games/de...un-switch/

The Switch really does make for a great arcade cabinet. Lots of people building arcades using a switch.

I don't understand why Sega/Nine-Ten-Do don't release a collection of Sega's arcade games from the 80s and 90s. From 1985-1999 (Hang On - Virtua Tennis) no one could touch Sega's arcade games. There's a giant Genesis collection with several watered-down versions. I want the real deals, including the obscure or forgotten games, like Quartet, Waverunner, Virtua Cop, Scud Race/Sega GT, etc.

C'mon, Sega. Get it together…

Phantasy Star is truly a forgotten classic. I remember writing a strategy guide for it years before strategy guides were a thing. Had I known then in high school.....

I still think the Laconian Axe is the baddest weapon ever

Herzog Zwei vs mode caused more fights between my brothers and I than any other single cause I can think of. It's a spectacular game until a certain point, then it's super frustrating as you watch your hard work vanish. About fifteen years ago I repurchased a cartridge and played a couple rounds with my brothers... Just as rage inducing as I'd remembered.

I bought Thunder Force AC, Lightening Force, Space Harrier, and Columns II.

I already had Puyo Puyo 1, Puyo Puyo 2, Outrun, Virtua Racing, and Ichidant-R.

Virtua Racing is also excellent and is basically a remaster rather than just a port. $5.99

Oh man bringing back the old school memories of downloading Game FAQs in txt and doc format! I think I probably still have some saved on an old hard drive somewhere Wink
