Thanks I was going to ask how thermals were for these specs… Shoot Alienware has to have beast mode cooling for stuff like this and an Inspiron is trying to play ball?
Next.

Most softwares are not even capable of working on screens higher than 1080p
- Thermals
yes, this is not a gaming machine but it's quiet in general. I also tested a Legion Pro and GB Aero and this one is by far the quietest. Don't get this as a gaming machine, it isn't marketed as such. This is for those who want a powerful laptop with a decent GPU. GPU works great for VR or creative purposes.
- Touchpad works fine for me, but there are a ton of report issues. Hit or miss.
- 3K screen is great, I am using 150% magnification. Razor sharp. Brightness is okay but haven't used it outside yet.
- Overall, this is a very nice laptop and I highly recommend it.
Note: I have the 16gb version, same other specs that I bought a month ago for $1,250 but then with $325 in Amex Dell offers so $925 in total. Still a good deal at the lister price but check Amex if you have it.
I had the GB Aero and although the screen is awesome, the unit is loud.
The Dell is quiet.
