If I order 2 and get 2 home bases, does it make sense to put a home base on opposite sides of the house for better connectivity or is just 1 fine? My house is probably 40-50ft in length
let me know if that works, planning to buy two sets too since I have ethernet going to both ends of the house

How? Details please? I had problem installing wifi outlet for this issue.
You have to split your 2.4 and 5 on your router (many routers combine them). Then assign add them to the 2.4 one and assign and IP to it.

Does the base station accepts other LAView cameras?
No it doesn't. Just a specific doorbell cam from laview and N20 cameras

I have 4 (only using 1 at the moment) with blueiris and they've been bulletproof.

I had to dump the NVR and shitty software years ago.
Are they hardwired with the way you are using them? POE?

These cameras seem like the kind where it was never worth close to the retail price. Probably worth $100-$150 tops. So $80 would be a decent deal.

Sorry. I referring to some old Poe ones I have. I ordered this just to see if it'll work on rtsp.
Also ordered a Eufy to test which is more expensive but I believe will work on BI.

I bought these back when they were 78, they're not bad and having local storage is nice. Only issues are the audio quality and the UI used to playback old clips

Cant tell from the post/page - is there a port for external power (e.g. solar panel) for this camera?

How's the battery life? My streets have many people walking in a day.

Also can I connect the power cable and use it?
I don't know if you can use a solar panel or not. The battery life is actually good.
I have 20+ notices each day, it took 2-3 weeks to drop to 90%. Normally 100% will last the longest so can't say too much about it.
The other camera I put on the back yard is still 100%, and is longer than all previous cameras I have used.
The base did lose signal all of a sudden for once, and I thought it was the cameras being frozen. Replug the power and it was fine until now.
One huge downside is the base, which I forgot to mention. It was the worst base I have ever met!!! Low quality and hard to adjust!!! Cameras are one of the best I have tried..
