Coming from an IPS that has nice colors but really bothered my eyes. I bought this a week ago

Was worried about the curve, worried about the VA panel but upon getting this, WOW! Best monitor I have ever had, amazing darks, super colors and the curve is awesome! After a few days you do not even know it is curved

Will never go back to a flat panel!

Yes, it is a VA panel but it's one of the better ones. I have this and the colors are great for a VA.

S3220dgf is better and is occasionally the same price.

The description doesn't list the model. This is for the S3222DGM.
Thumbs up for Dell's warranty support for their monitors

Bought this from BB on around the holidays. Same price. Nice monitor but it's VA panel so don't expect great color fidelity. Good for gaming. Viewing angle isn't so great so you have to be looking straight at it, but then it's curved anyway. Has anyone attempted to calibrate it?

Can anyone recommend a monitor from Dell's website that would be great for photo & video editing without breaking the bank? (under like $350)

Thank you kindly in advance for any help.

I have the S3220dgf I think it is. The older brother to this. Great monitor. If the one I have is any indication I'd recommend this to most people. We use it for games and my daily driver for work I have no complaints either way.

I, too, would like to know about the calibration of it.

At the moment, I've been using the presets on the monitor for the FPS vs RPG, and it has been pretty good. FPS has seems like it has higher brightness while the RPG settings has is darker and higher contrast. Good so far, other than some flickering with G-Sync Compatible settings on.

I did some research this morning and found a YT video where this person talks at length about display calibration using i1DisplayPro colorimeter and the DisplayCAL software. That's exactly my setup. My problem was that I didn't know which correction profile to choose for this monitor. But assuming this monitor is sRGB, and not wide-gamut, the guy recommends the "LCD White LED Family (AC, LG, Samsung)" correction (at the 9:05 min mark). I'll run a cal with that correction tomorrow and let you know how it goes. (Someone please correct me if I'm wrong in my assumption that this monitor is NOT wide-gamut.)

I think a 27" flat-panel is sufficient for that, but 32" gives you more real estate if you need that. Personally, I wouldn't pick a curved monitor though, unless it's primarily for gaming. This monitor also has terrible viewing angle. Images wash out fast when viewed at an angle.

I bought it at 329$. Love it so far. It seems VA panel has a better Grey scale than ips in general. Visually, it seems brighter on dark scenes. Good for me as a bio hazard player.
