The problem with these is that they will hardly carry a grown man. They are literally almost-submerged. Add a cooler (for aforementioned beverages) and your rear-end is dragging pretty deeply.
That being said, I do strongly recommend a less-expensive kayak to start with. This goes with just about any hobby equipment (guitars, mountain bikes etc). My theory is that you can never really know which way you'll go once you get into that hobby (acoustic or electric? Whitewater or open water?) until you actually GET into that hobby. So, the cheap starter equipment serves the purpose of being your gateway and then will always be around for a friend or as your backup or 'beater' boat.
Just you on a kayak is fun but having two and a friend is even better :-)
Edit: Some people seem to think I'm downvoting this. For the price, it's a great deal. Just not for a big person (200+ lbs). It's entry level. If you don't know anything about kayaks, it'll be good for you. When you DO know about kayaks, it'll be great for your buddy.

Hes correct due to the maximum weight of 250 for these. So you smaller/younger people this may work well. But for full grown men it may not be as stable if your 200+ pounds to begin with.

As far as gear quality in general, I still have what many people would call a "starter guitar" and "basic climbing gear" but have progressed with both of them to an intermediate level over the years. I was serious about the hobbies but just didn't have the money when I was younger. Cheap gear can be harder to use, but it can also provide its own learning curve to help you get better (but can also discourage you), so it's a double edged sword.
I adapted that view from an old golf pro explaining to me why my solid irons were so hard to hit with around 1990. Basically "if you can learn with these, everything else will seem amazing"
Last thought: find an experienced buddy or a mentor who can lend you their gear to try out (or steer you right). That's a good way to get a feel for good vs bad, new vs used, etc
Ordered pickup from the store , confirmation email says that I need wait the "ready to pick up" email, the "ready to pick up" email never arrived . Few days later I got notification email says the item got picked up at 7am from the store , order was complete.
I had to file complaint to get my money back...
