Since it is not in the original post, this is a very good wood glue.

FYI

It looks like brick seek is showing the combined stock number for both the regular and the "25% more free" versions.

But only the "25% more free" rings up to the deal price. They do have different SKU numbers

Glue flavor... goes good with walnut (the wood not the nut).
I like mine with jamb.

If the store shows stock and you don't see it on shelf it's probably above in an unopened case. I was able to get an employee to get it down for me. He asked me why wanted that one instead of the one in shelf, I told him it had an extra 2 oz for free!! I left out the $.29 part!

Maybe if you catch it early enough. I tried and it didn't work for me even after leaving it for days in water. I put it out in the sun to see if heat would help but it still would not go back into solution. If you don't use it often I think it makes more sense to buy a small size.
Considering III is waterproof after set, that would make sense.

Even if it did work, who knows how good the glue would be - you'll never see a mason add water to mortar when it starts to dry out - it will never be as strong as fresh stuff.

For those that don't use it much these small bottles are ideal - shake them occasionally and they should be fine well past the 2 year shelf life if kept inside. Once you crack the seal they start degrading.

I've got a larger bottle of III that I keep in the basement that doesn't get used much. It's gotta be 4 or 5 years old at this point. Still works fine, just used some yesterday. I shake it every so often when I walk by and think of it, and when I do use it, I close it immediately after use. As long as glue flows, it is still good, if it starts to get too thick or separates, throw it out, not worth pinching pennies on something like that.

I thought of that exact same example but left it alone since mortar is not the same as glue and I don't really know.

Mine lasted less than 4 years and I made sure to keep the lid on it and that it was sealed well. Maybe you are on to something with the shaking.

I'm worried they're expired, or close to it.

Titebond III is great, but it goes bad fast! I made the mistake of buying several gallons at $20 each, but they all went bad within the year. Lumpy, and smelled like death.

Check the date code on your bottle before you buy. 😉

At 80120 (store 2419), they have about 40 in stock. Hidden in aisle 49 (panel doors/moulding). Never thought it would be there.

Yes, buy Titebond Original at $2.38 per bottle instead of $.29 for Titebond III to save money....

I went to 2 that said they were in stock but couldn't find them. Even asked for help. I didn't check doors/moulding though.
