As with credit karma before:

Multiple state filings, part-year state filing, or non-resident state filing are not supported by Cash App Taxes.

"If it's free, you are the product"?

Wary of handing over such personal data to a tech firm, convince me otherwise.

I.JUST.WANT.TO.LOGIN.FROM.A.COMPUTER!

Crikey. I've had to scan a QR code on my screen 20 times and just keeps running into issues. Why is it so hard to just let me use Username/Password.

I work in a secure facility where phones aren't allowed, but I am allowed to spend a few minutes tinkering with my taxes, but running my laptop out to the area where phones are allowed is getting annoying.

I'll still use it because it's free, and I really liked creditkarma last year, but man, this seems needlessly techie.

"trusted by literally millions..."

Yeah, I'm "literally" not interested now.

Do the people who pay for turbo tax think that intuit is not mining their data just because they paid for turbo tax? Intuit owns other financial data mines like Mint and Credit Karma.

Unless you file directly with the IRS, a third party has your data.

I think they are pushing hard for you to be a user of Cash App in order to use their service. Probably part of their monetization strategy in acquiring Credit Karma Tax. So they force you to do a bunch of stuff through Cash App.

Not disagreeing, but plenty of companies charge money and collect your data, so it's not like paying for something means that you are not also the product.

I feel that it is unfair that Square has acquired my personal information from Intuit. However I make my decisions based on superficial things like how much I like your website and I hate https://cash.app/taxes color scheme and design, so I will be looking for another solution.

Agreed. And I actually AM a user of Cash App. So that part is neutral to me, but it just seems so convoluted. I get that I'm a unique snowflake, and everyone has perfect cell phone signal (or wi-fi) all the time, but yeah, I most definitely do not. This little roadblock has me looking for alternatives (might even go back to TaxSlayer)
