I've kept it pretty clean and spray compressed air a few times per year to clean the dust out. What I saw browsing forums is that it happens to many, it may just take some time. Personally, I don't want to buy another Romer-switch keyboard after the experience... but I am in the market for a new one.
Edit: I would like to add I started working from home full time 6 months ago and am using this keyboard to wfh so it's seen an high increase in use in the last 6 months. This could correlate to the issue.
Logitech has pretty gone away with the Romer-G.
My DAS, Filcos and Ducky keyboards have been going strong for years but my Romer-G lasted just enough to be out of warranty.

They get a bad rep, but are perfectly fine when the price is right. Pretty damn good specs on paper.
Some people say they feel mushy, varies on the exact Romer-G type. But I suspect this mostly has to do with their sound more than feel. They can be pretty quiet for mechanical. People think if they're not hearing a mechanical keyboard, it must be mushy like a membrane. But they function like a mechanical keyboard. They've already actuated well before bottoming out.
However, the keyboard I'm currently using (as my office keyboard), the K840... did develop a double click issue on some of the numpad keys. About a year ago I simply applied some WD40 to the affected keys with a paper towel and toothpick... Not only fixed it, but the issue never came back.
A lot of peripherals require proper lubing, it can be fickle. It happens.
As for any other anecdotal issues... They're a big company that sells millions of products. You will always find random issues here and there when dealing in that quantities. 1 issue doesn't always represent millions more like it. And Logitech RMA process is A+. Never an fuss.
