How long is "long"? Been using a Logitech G810 since June 2018, and no issues to speak of despite spilling tea in it 3-4 times.

I had black widow, keeps developing double keys or missing keys. I would pay a little more and get a DAS keyboard. Much better quality

If I remember correctly white can be done manually there is a color code you enter just Google it .
It can be set to "white" but the actual color it outputs is anything but. I took a comparison picture between both of my Logitech keyboards here https://i.imgur.com/BgbD2zs.jpg

1 year old G613 with same switches double type like crazy on multiple keys. Logitech replaced without question probably due to how common it is.

Don't waste money on this junk. RomerG switches don't last long. Right shift crapped out just outside of warranty. G-Pro also has crappy switches. I would avoid Logitech all together.
Funny you say that… I have a G810 Orion Spectrum that I've been using for at least 6-7 years with Romer-G switches and it's still going strong. RGB, keys, media controls… it all works like brand new. Maybe newer Romer-G's are not as good but I can't echo your experience; quite the contrary.

Thanks for confirming this for me. My G710+ keyboard has a real white backlight and all these newer devices simply can't match it.
i'm using a g710+ as well. a few keycaps broke off and i thought about replacing it....until i shopped around. the newer mechanical w the good keys are kind of pricey. ended up just buying some cheap replacment keycaps (official ones have been OOS for years...should have stocked up in the past)

Is this G413 better than the EVGA Z15 which is selling for $45 at this time?

Been using my Logitech G810 for a few years now as well without issues. The edges of a couple keys are wearing, and light is showing through, so I ordered a new set of keycaps from Logitech for like $10-20, but I haven't even bothered to open the package yet.

I have had the G Pro keyboard for almost about 2 years now, and it's still running strong.
I've enjoyed my G810 since July 2018 but it as been terrible in the last few months. I'm facing two errors, either keys aren't registering or keys are chattering (double strokes). What's crazy to me is that it all started around the same time, it wasn't like one key started going, then another.
I've kept it pretty clean and spray compressed air a few times per year to clean the dust out. What I saw browsing forums is that it happens to many, it may just take some time. Personally, I don't want to buy another Romer-switch keyboard after the experience... but I am in the market for a new one.

Edit: I would like to add I started working from home full time 6 months ago and am using this keyboard to wfh so it's seen an high increase in use in the last 6 months. This could correlate to the issue.

I've had this keyboard for 3 years now with no issues. I like it so much I bought a K840 that I use at work.

I agree with others that say Romer-G is not of good quality. I had two Romer-G keyboards that both started suffering from unintended double keystrokes before they were two years old. Infuriating to type 'ssomethinng' when you are just trying to type 'something,' especially when entering passwords.

Would not recommend any Romer-G equipped keyboard. The problem is how the key caps are mounted on the switches. Because of the LED being in the middle, the key cap is held onto the switch using 4 very small tabs on the edges. These tabs can't handle prolonged use and begin to break off and one day the switch just pops off with no way to reattach it.

Logitech has pretty gone away with the Romer-G.

My DAS, Filcos and Ducky keyboards have been going strong for years but my Romer-G lasted just enough to be out of warranty.
Do you have any recommendations for cheap keyboards then

Add me to the list of people with a broken Romer-G Logitech keyboard. Keys started double-stroking right after the warranty ended and have been getting worse since. From what I read online there have been multiple versions of the Romer-G switch, with some being made in Japan and others in China.

I have a pair of Romer G keyboards... both 5 plus years old.

They get a bad rep, but are perfectly fine when the price is right. Pretty damn good specs on paper.

Some people say they feel mushy, varies on the exact Romer-G type. But I suspect this mostly has to do with their sound more than feel. They can be pretty quiet for mechanical. People think if they're not hearing a mechanical keyboard, it must be mushy like a membrane. But they function like a mechanical keyboard. They've already actuated well before bottoming out.

However, the keyboard I'm currently using (as my office keyboard), the K840... did develop a double click issue on some of the numpad keys. About a year ago I simply applied some WD40 to the affected keys with a paper towel and toothpick... Not only fixed it, but the issue never came back.

A lot of peripherals require proper lubing, it can be fickle. It happens.

As for any other anecdotal issues... They're a big company that sells millions of products. You will always find random issues here and there when dealing in that quantities. 1 issue doesn't always represent millions more like it. And Logitech RMA process is A+. Never an fuss.
