Looks awfully similar to the HF set for $6.97 which can be easily exchanged under warranty

https://www.harborfreight.com/pac...94905.html

Also the Husky set from HD is $9.97 with easy warranty exchange as well.

Not that easily. I snapped one of mine from Harbor Freight, and in order to get a replacement, they said I needed to bring in all 3 sets. It wasn't worth the hassle to leave, locate the other 2 (that weren't broken) and drive back just to replace a $6 set. So if you keep all 3 together and live close to a HF, then maybe that wins. But I feel like they make it just hard enough to utilize the warranty that many don't.

Allen Keys 2022!!

These look really tempting, but I don't see them replacing standalone keys. These are limited in how close they can get to a flush-mount bolt (eg shower curtain rods, tp holders, towel racks). And I wouldn't want to torque down on them too hard, seems like the hinge would hate you for that. The whole beauty of Allen wrenches is no moving parts

Does anyone have this? Are you able to get good leverage with this? Do they lock at a 90 degree angle? The beauty of the shape of the classic Allen wrench is that it enables you to have that leverage when exerting the force needed to loosen a tight bolt — wondering if that's the case here. Thanks

I'll bite! For less than $3 per set, I won't complain about quality. I don't use allen wrenches often so these should last fairly long. Thanks OP

The screw that holds all the keys together came out of mine and I lost the nut. I took the single key set in and exchanged it, the associate just gave me what I brought them. YMMV it seems.

I think even with Amazon you will probably have to return all 3. At-least HF offers you more warranty than Amazon will I think only has the standard return period.

You need an extra 'Allen' wrench set to put the 'Allen' set back together when it screw comes loose ad it false apart.

I was not happy when I realized I needed to use the 'broke' tool to put itself back together again and couldn't. Smilie

I had the same issue with the HF ones.
I do find it funny that I need an extra set to repair the set.
Not a huge deal since I have a nice set of T-handle allen keys, but still kind of ironic.

I had the harbor freight version and will say, I'm not a fan. As TurnC mentioned, it inevitably comes loose and you can't fix it without another allen wrench.

Also, the handle or body of the tool is rather bulky and gets in the way regularly. Either a set of individual allen keys or the metal style is more useful.
