A fair warning to anyone who doesn't have these in your house. This pack is a gateway drug into having them in your whole house.

No worries. I was looking for a sunrise alarm for my son and found I could use this with an iOS app (Sleep Cycle) that tracks sleep to do the same. Looks like I could also use the bridge with the Apple Home ecosystem to have more features. Thought I would share if anyone was looking.

Per the link, 800 lumens. Since it comes with the bridge/hub, you can often sell that for 25 - 30 making this more like $10 a bulb.

This might be the 3rd generation bulb. The only way I can tell the generation is the hue brand and font color on the bulb itself. For this one, it's a gold font that is associated with the 3rd generation. If you search by the UPC number, it looks like the California model on the Best Buy website. No idea on whether it's bluetooth compatible.

On the hue website, only say zigbee no Bluetooth. As far as I know, the newer one has Bluetooth so you can connect to it without hue bridge. But other than that, it's the same??

Generally speaking, the Bluetooth models and the models right before the Bluetooth models are identical other than Bluetooth functionality (all new versions have Bluetooth) which allows you to control the bulbs without the hub. I do not recommend not using a hub.

These are not the Ambiance version that'll shift from white to warm-white. But otherwise yes, these are cheaper per bulb.
