Deal went DEAD (~11:00A, GMT-7, NO DST) as I had it in my cart contemplating whether to upgrade my old 1920x1200 😳🤬, now $400 sh!t.

Brightness at 300 nits and contrast ratio of 1000:1 don't make this a great option for coding.
The 32" LG deal at Costco has better options for that purpose.
Not just that but 1000:1 Contrast Ratio is about half what you would need for a good HDR experience and 300 nits are not too good for that either.

60hz makes me run away from these... especially since it's > 1080p resolution
This gets posted on every monitor. For office work, home use, productivity, color matching, video editing - 60hz is fine. I wish people would specify the use case when stating that 60hz is no good.

Gaming may benefit from a >60hz refresh rate, but it's not generally needed. And it's still expensive to find a 4K display with at least a 120hz refresh rate.

there are 2k 144hz on sale for $199.99 but dont like the brands... There are some Acers for $220-$230... So sub $300 is possible.
2k is 1920x1080. That's a different consumer entirely from the consumer pricing 4K screens.

I also don't know why people are complaining about the screen size. You don't have to work at the original resolution. All OSs will scale to 125% or 150% perfectly.

My only complaint, funny enough, is that this doesn't have any USB-A ports.
I've been looking for monitors with USB ports as well, and this definitely has them.

Don't feel bad if you missed out. I bought this direct from Samsung during the holiday. No matter how much I adjust it, it looked super dim - dimmer than my ancient Thinkpad T440's ~250nit display. I also have a 27" HP 4K IPS (model 27F UHD) display rated at 300nits and side by side, the HP looked vastly better. I returned it back to Samsung.
