YouTube introduced an Annual Plan for YouTube Premium for $107.99 (Individual, not Family). Monthly plan normally costs $11.99/month ($143.88/year). Savings of $35.89.

Promotional pricing ends January 23, 2022.

To find, visit https://www.youtube.com/premium and click on annual link.

YouTube Premium includes ad-free videos, video downloads and YouTube Music Premium.

I was in the middle of a free trial, so I had to cancel the trial and sign up with the new plan.

If you have Android: Youtube Vanced (you need side load, also has optional YT Music app in Vanced Manager). If you have Android TV / Firesticks: SmartTubeNext (You need to sideload).

iOS: Try Musi App.

Do not cancel your current plan "see the option." Garbage advice.

A lot of people are on grandfathered plans (both individual and family). If you cancel to "see the option" you'll lose your grandfathered rate indefinitely, which means following that advice could COST you money.

If you're on a family plan there is NO family-annual plan. Do. Not. Cancel.

If you're on a $10/month grandfathered individual plan this will cost you more. Do. Not. Cancel. <- $9.99 X 12 months = $119.88. This deal ($107.99) is like getting a free month!
<- what about next year? worship

Depends if you need to access the content offline or want to play whichever songs on Google home.

If you want to support the creator and not watch ads, this is the way to do it. They get paid based on the numbers of premium accounts. That or you watch the ads without a premium account.

YouTube Music, formerly Google Play Music, comes with a subscription comparable to Spotify Premium or Apple Music. I originally had a Google Play subscription, and then they added YouTube Premium for no additional cost. For me, the price is worth it for the music subscription service and the complete lack of ads. Once you go premium, it isn't easy to use YouTube without it.

Nope this is just the regular YouTube.

Youtube TV is a different service. Costs about 50 bucks a month.

You have to cancel monthly plan first. You will NOT see annual option. You can get annual option by setting up a new channel and under the same account.

Detailed steps after cancellation:
1) Log in to your YouTube account
2) Visit your list of Channels
3) Click Create a new channel.
4) Now, go into purchase and memberships, you will see an option for annual.

It does not. There is no annual family plan rate, unfortunately.

You just add their email/Google account to your list of shared accounts in the YouTube Premium subscription. Location doesn't matter except for whatever is needed for the account owner/payer. Been doing this with a family member for years.

This "deal" just farked me hard, like cost me money.

I was on the family plan at $14.99. The second post suggested cancelling to see the annual option, which I foolishly did. The annual plan seemingly is individual ONLY no family plan and worse still now to renew my family plan costs $17.99 month. So this "deal" has cost me +$3/month. Trash suggestion to cancel to see the deal, seriously terrible. Going to screw everyone on a grandfathered plan.

Not only is this a crappy deal, I'm not even included in it. No annual option.
Funny that you'd bother to check if you actually thought it was a crappy deal.

If you cancel your current plan (you'll still have access until the end of the billing period), you should then see the option to sign up for the annual plan.
Confirmed it worked, thank you!

I've been paying $11.99/mo for a while and my next renewal was 1/27/2022, cancelled, navigated to premium website, selected annual payment and it's done.

Thank you again, TU and repped!

I did find the annual option but it just goes to a page where I can upgrade to family plan. Anyone got this to work?
