Just put this together. Very well built. Took about 90-mins with some breaks. Good directions, and all bags labeled very well. Comes with the riser, so although technically 3/4 size, but height is good in my opinion to play standing up. (I am 6'2" and have no complaints). I have several MAME machines (cocktail/Desktop), but none with trackball/spinner so this was a good addition for the trackball/spinner specific Atari games.

Thanks OP. I missed the $249 price on Amazon but got it this time. If you're part of the Nordy club and have the double point days, you can designate this purchase to get the extra points. FYI, I tried to match at Target and they said no.

If you mean flash the PCB, this is a newer generation. It takes a while for this to be developed. Only now are we seeing progress on later generation of cabinets such as Big Buck Hunter.

You could swap the PCB for a Pi or a PC, which would be a mod you could perform.

Yea but the button layout doesn't really work right? I've been looking at these and it probably makes sense to get like, the mvc or street fighter layout right for maximum compatibility?

An X arcade tank stick will cover about 99% of everything you need and they're only like 150 bucks. However, this does have the knob, it seems, that you used to play tempest and it's a very specific piece of hardware. Hardware. You can find a separate one, but I think the button layout in this thing isn't all that bad. If you're willing to take the time to rewire it to a pi. Or possibly an Arduino and then into a pi.

Yeah the 249 deal was gone really quick. The walmart deal for 289 didnt last long either. I never actually saw these in any physical stores so this is in stock and the cheapest available by 80 bucks currently.
