Optimum Nutrition Essential Amino. Energy + Electrolytes, Watermelon Splash, 1.51 lbs (72 servings) . $30.99 online, $23.99 at my local store in Edison, NJ
I was a fan of the previous flavor at Costco. I get this still because I use it, but the flavor might not be for everyone. It's a very sweet fake watermelon flavor. Not that you would have it on an empty stomach but if you do it will likely upset it.

Yeah, it's like a candy watermelon. I bought the other watermelon one from Costco (regular amino energy) before and it's pretty similar. I actually do take it on an empty stomach but of course it depends on your sensitivity to caffeine and sweeteners
Care to share your experience, please? I am starting strength and like to understand how this is useful as you say you use it a lot. TIA!
Thanks for sharing!

its literally just yummy caffeine. can get the same boost off a cup of coffee, soda, or caffeine tablet or powder.
but imo, price isnt terrible on sale, I like to take a scoop in mornings sometimes as energy boost, I dont drink coffee
I take 2-3 scoops to get motivation to go to gym though. doesnt do much in actual performance, need stronger stuff imo for hardcore workouts. this is just pure caffeine.
Got it. Thank you much for sharing your experience. I also dont drink coffee and at this price, I will give it a try. Thanks again for sharing.

absolutely, i nerd out on talking about this since it's my career and passion!
so I use this for a few reasons. One, I like to monitor how much caffeine I'm taking in and unlike coffee where it can vary, I know two scoops (one serving) is 100 mg (which is roughly a small mild cup of coffee). And frankly, I like the taste. I'm a big fan of diet beverages and most beverages on the market are much higher in caffeine content. People use this for a variety of reasons....as a morning pick me up, before workouts, or throughout the day.
Other nutrients in there, amino acids, electrolytes, etc are added benefits but not that important to me. at this price point of less than $0.50/serving, I'm mainly using it for a tasty small energy boost

start with just 1 scoop, just enough to get you motivated to go. you'll build up wanting more, so dont go and start drinking at 6 scoops at once. it gets addicting, just like soda. so like every 2 months I will ween myself off for a month.

exactly. its just flavored caffeine, but its yummy and affordable. exactly the same reason I use it. kudos for a likeminded user, my gf got addicted and was just taking scoops for no reason.
watch it, @ Newmark caffeine is an addictive property, when I feel I want it more than I should, I take a few weeks off.
OO. extremely important, if you stop using it, after taking a lot of higher dose scoops, you WILL get migraines. its called caffeine withdrawel. drink a lot of water if this happens, if you start noticing migraines on the days off you dont take caffeine, means you are taking too much.
hard lesson learned, I had miserable migraines for awhile. now I dont go over 2-3 scoops routinely.
Thanks! I will start with workouts and see where it goes. Appreciate your help!
