I'll also be changing the door and springs in my new place - currently they have extension springs..... not sure but it seems a lot of doors that do come with springs come with those - is that because of cost? Seems to be torsional springs are the better and safer option.

I also found brickseek to be finding no availability today, so I tried my luck at the local stores I remember having them - First, the Madison Heights, MI store - empty. The employee checked and found 3 available at the Sterling Heights store (16 mile and van Dyke). I went there and found 4 at the end cap CLEARANCE rack with proper price labelled. I brought 2, leaving 2 as of this afternoon. I also inquired about installation, and it was largely advertised as $98 with a big banner. however, the catch was that it doesn't apply to clearance items. They did put in a request for their vetted local contractors to call me, but it was up to me to negotiate the price.
