This drops quite often to $29 and several times lowest was $24. Just heads up, no real rush on this price.

How does this compare to the amazon firestick 4k max, tech spec wise? What are people's feelings about the Roku streaming devices?

I've seen some comments about how people like the Onn UHD android box and Chromecast box as well.

What are the pros and cons of each? I personally just started using streaming boxes and now I've got two(2) Firestick 4k maxes. Its pretty snappy (quick) and if you are part of the Amazon ecosystem already its convenient as it saves your watchlist and preferences on your firestick to your amazon account.

I think the premium buy for streaming devices is the NVIDIA Shield. It does a bit more than just stream tv and movie shows, though.

I was going to try and buy maybe one other streaming device.. but not sure what to get.

Get Roku. Interface ux is better

I'd defintely get that for my parents. I've heard that the user interface (UI) is a lot more easier/friendlier to use. Most everything has advertising--but I've heard that the Roku is much better than the firestick when it comes to annoying advertising. Roku still owns the #1 claim to largest platform and biggest-most content available, as far as I know.

I don't like that fact that firestick is still micro-USB, has no HDMI port, has only 8g internal storage-- which I guess several others do as well (BUT NOT their latest release)--

Pretty crazy that you can get these for $24 when the voice remote alone goes for $20. I think I will buy some of these just to get the better remote for some of my other Rokus and have a bonus 4k device to bring to hotels and such with me.
