Got this as gift probably from the Black Friday sale. It's actually not that bad. It actually looks pretty nice, and the quality is decent.

For the price, quality and amount of tools you get, it's an excellent value.

Reviews look pretty mixed. Apparently the tools aren't built to last.

Have a set with knives that look identical -they're pretty trashy but okay for at the office cheese tray.

These are also pretty small. Specs have the board at 13.7" wide, which isn't big enough to do anything even vaguely large. The rolling pin surface looks to be less than half the size, making it basically a miniature.

If you want to get some kitchen equipment, this is fine, as you get a small/medium cutting board, measuring cups & spoons, a small silicone spatula, a small whisk, a small sifter, a ramekin and a basting brush.

That's probably worth $20 if you need some kitchen gear, but to do baking on this cutting board and with that pin? Nah.

That loaf of bread in the pic must be the size of a bagel then

Probably a few useful pieces, but looks like a good bit of junk too.

Yeah. First thing I thought was, 'what's the point of a rolling pin that small?' Like a kitchen set for children.

Here's the strategy:

Buy it.
Carefully cherry pick the tools actually needed to bake
Throw the remainder tools out
Replace the cherry picked tools one by one with tools worth having

edit: now I'm feeling a little bad for what I said. This thing is what it is. I do like how they presented the tools and what they do. It comes with a recipe book that uses tools. If I wasn't so stuck up about it, I might take the product at face value and chug through the recipes. Would probably learn some things without recipes being too hard. One of the problems is, who does that? No one has the attention span or discipline or humility to buy a cheap set like this and go through the recipes. Not the kit's fault.

I'm self-suspect for not likeing those child plastic fake kitchen ovens where they don't actually cook, then turn around and not like a cheap baking set like this.

Sounds right. Walmart routinely has sets like these and I bought one on clearance. It was okay at that price, but most things were quite similar to dollar store stuff or intended as wall decor only. I wanted to use the cutting board as a sandwich tray or platter (for regular life, not photos). It was made with blemished wood and warped with very gentle handling.

Pioneer Woman products and the trendy kitchen items at Walmart often have major quality issues.

why are the measuring cups and spoons in silicone? That doesnt seem useful. I can kind of see why- for sticky liquids- but pulling it through rough materials like salt and sugar is going to ruin it and flour will leave a dust layer that will need water to take off.
