Use P4BT34CW for $2.00 off a Movie at the Kiosk or On-Demand. Should be valid till Monday. Atleast it is working today. It is a generic code so one use per CC/Account.

However, if you're at the store anyway, or your daily commute takes you right past a Redbox, then paying $2 (or nothing) for a blu-ray rental is the cheapest way to watch a new release movie. Way cheaper than $6 for a streaming rental. Even better when they offer 4K blu-rays for $2.50 (vs buying it for $20+) but those are awfully limited.
So yeah.. it still has its place.

however, the relatively-frequently-distributed $1.25 promo codes (in the redbox thread) DO work on those titles, and some of the free rental codes from customer service (for a kiosk not working, etc.) that are universal will work, as well. no idea why points or higher-value promo codes don't work, though :\ and also they never announced the change anywhere in emails, on their site, etc.
I could be wrong but...... I believe the reason for this was the deal Redbox did with Disney to allow Redbox to stream Disney titles / content. Remember, Redbox used to have to go buy any Disney discs at retail because they didnt want to abide by lockup periods that Disney demanded. The free code restrictions seemed to coincide with the streaming deal. So any Disney / Fox title will be subject to these restrictions. However, as noted by others, codes for $.50 or $1.25 off will work with these Disney/Fox titles.

Thanks for posting the photo, but the code is unreadable. Any idea what the code is? It seems to be different from the one that launched this thread.

All my nearest kiosks closed down, so not worth going to them.
Free Guy is a Redbox+ movie and no code works on those movies. Not even gift card codes!

So true and most people go somewhere during the day so you usually don't have to make a special trip to return it.
Let's not forget disc quality is always better than streaming especially on the audio side.
