YMMV, Costco has the Klipsch R-12SW Reference 12" Powered Subwoofer on sale for $124.99 in store. Given it's marked with * , I guess they are discounting the R-12SW to replace it with R-12SWi : https://www.costco.com/klipsch-r-...03576.html

I don't have the R-12SWi, but everything I can tell is that it's the same as the R-12SW (per the specs at least), but it seems to have a transceiver BUILT IN and paired to it, with another transceiver that you just plug into your receiver output.
If you buy an R-12SW and a wireless kit, you would get 2 transceivers (one for the sub, one for the receiver)
From a wired-only mode, you should not see any differences between either sub (besides the price)
From a wireless-mode, the R-12SWi should look cleaner (since you don't need an external transceiver on the sub, it's built in)..
This does seem to indicate that you can't simply buy the R-12SWi and sell the wireless kit separately, as part of it is built into the sub and part of it is external. It's essentially paired to THAT SUB.
They both seem to have the same specs otherwise, including wired inputs

It used to be pretty regular ($149-169)
I think this recent cut ($129) is due to them starting to sell the newer/wireless model now. This is probably a closeout price so I doubt stores will be getting more stock, and prices will only drop as they receive the new model but still have the old model in stock

Is this subwoofer any good? I'm in the market for one right now.
R120SW and R112SW are the good ones from Klipsch. The R12SW is worst of the lot. But if you are not picky and don't care for nice punch below 30Hz then for this price absolutely go for it.
For the record I never recommend Klipsch for subwoofer. SVS, HSU, MONOLITH are my go to brands.

I got this during blackfriday for $150 to replace an old blown subwoofer. 400w (200w rms) or pure power...I was caught off-guard at how powerful this is. TBF my tv room isn't that big, but at 40% power/level it basically shakes the walls. It is a wired subwoofer. I'm very happy with the purchase.

Edit, looks like you can also use it wired. Interesting
