It's not a deal, the i7 version with 1TB and 16GB has been as low as $1080 after cash back and $1140 without it.

Can we go by a scale of 'okay', 'good', and 'great deal'? Tough crowd, I guess

Is the memory & ssd upgradable? If that's the case, not a bad deal.

It's not your fault, Lenovo has ridiculous MSRPs to make these look like deals.

They're business class so built like a tank. It's a good model but I think it's better to buy the higher one with 16GB ram and maybe the i7.

I'm looking for a descent laptop for my young teen to last a few years, sub $1,000. Something business class that has parts that can be easily replaced. It doesn't have to be overly sexy. Very light gaming, perhaps an AMD apu model. I'm aware of other T series like the T14, T14s or X13. Are there others that I should consider? TIA

Xenia XPG 14" at $850 is nice, though not business class. Iris Xe is passable for light gaming, the older Intel onboard graphics suck.

Marketing wank. Business laptops just mean high msrp, and usually supporting vpro.

Also tanks are made of metal.

Not sure the point of the high MSRPs, my company paid like $680 for my Latitude, MSRP was like double that.

Because if they double price, the possibilities of having a 'sale' and still turn a profit are endless. There's a jewelry store down my road that is advertising going out of business sale, 70% Storewide!!!. I see that same sign every year at the same time Smilie
