Ryobi's pretty bad about over-inflating their torque specs, so I'd take those with a grain of salt. And I've owned the 1/2" drive P261 for about 5 years now, so I'm not hating on Ryobi.

This P263 struggles to take lugnuts off at 150 ft/lbs with a 6 Ah battery. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N72D3Wb9QF4

Because these tools aren't the brushless versions. I have this impact wrench but I'd rather have the brushless versions that are roughly the same size but have double or more power.
Not brushless (those having been released since the last deal, I think) is a decent reason. Thanks. If nothing else that probably explains both of these deals (pre/post new tool release clearance).

Some thoughts though. The brushless PSBIW01 3/8" impact has only a bit more torque (160 foot pounds) than the P263 (150 foot pounds) and costs $119 tool only.

The difference for the 1/2" impact wrenches looks more significant with specs of 300 vs. 450/600 foot pounds.

The brushless PBLRC25 3/8 in. brushless Extended Reach Ratchet is $159 tool only. Torque is 55 foot pounds compared to 35 foot pounds for the P344.

So I can see why people might want brushless instead, but for anyone who cares about price this still seems like a good deal.

What's kind of strange is on this deal page it says only 150 ft lbs, but if you look at the P263 individually homedepot says it's 220 ft lbs, see here: [https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI...308182766]

Don't know what to believe.

EDIT:
Checked on Ryobi's site here for P263: https://www.ryobitools.com/produc...3287178247
and it states 150 as well as 220. 220 must be breakaway torque I guess?

This impact wrench seems pretty weak. It claims 150 ft/lbs but I'm sure in actual use it's about 110-120 ft/lbs. Torque test channel tested the bigger 1/2" version which claims 300 ft/lbs but when tested it produced 230 ft/lbs. I'll pass.

You have no idea what you are talking about. A brushless tool MAY HAVE 15-35% more power than an equivalent brushed model, but that is all. Please stop making things up.

Funny this would pop up today as mine just caught on fire. Only had used it a couple times. Would strongly recommend looking for another brand as they have had several recalls on this brand.

Good deal if you need both! I bought the impact wrench by itself for about the same price a few months ago. Had to go to 3 different Home Depot's to find it. Wish this bundle was available then.

I have this 3 speed impact. It has a lot of power and isn't excessively loud. I also have the cheaper ryobi brushless impact and this tool has more power and is less noisy than the brushless.

Never heard that before. The brushless versions are advertised as having up to 600 and 1,170 ft./lbs. of Breakaway Torque. The 1,170 ft. wrench is only a tad bigger than the 600 foot one. That's what I want.
Yep I want the 1170 ft/1bs wrench. Regarding the ratchet, I'm waiting for a 1/4" drive long neck.
