Different brand but same source/manufacturer.

You can tell from the 800-719-9260 support number that Perrigo is the manufacturer for both items. Same for the Goodsense and Amazon Basics brand of this generic.
$10 for different brand through prime: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002ZX8...P38MRXEX97
Heads up those who don't normally use Zyrtec if you use it and then switch to a different product/quit you CAN get for all intents and purposes withdrawal symptoms that range from mild to I'm going to scratch my arms off. (Never believed such a thing until I switched from Zyrtec to a different allergy pill and then thought that I'd taken up and quit heroin 🤯) note this doesn't the fact everyone and it only matters if you're going to stop taking the Zyrtec... (I use Claritin/allerclear/loratadine now and quitting/resuming doesn't cause withdrawal 🤷) currently the good sense version on Amazon is 12.99- S&S so not quite as cheap...

Taking medicine like this is not a cure.

You become depend on it over the long term. And side effect is bad.

Its common sense, no medical advice.
There is no cure for allergies. They can only be treated and allergy medicine or antihistamine meds can help treat those symptoms. You can obviously remove the allergen causing the allergy but its not always possible despite best of your efforts. Example, you can't stop seasonal pollens, passive smoking if people around u smoke, dust in certain parts of the country, food from restaurants that may have allergens.
Human bodies are programmed differently and not one treatment is applicable to everyone.

Yes, its like saying, there is so much air and oxygen, why do you have asthma?

Actually its your body that is confused and start attacking itself. This is only that God can answer.

I can't tell if you are actually trolling, or just stumbled on to this thread. Why are you in this thread when you have no interest in the med?

Wow never thought of going to Costco or Amazon for this. I always get the Kaiser brand at Kaiser for 100 tablets 10mg 10.99 or 13.99(I forgot) I think. Kaiser for some reason has been out of the 10mg for a long time. Good thing I stocked them. Now I can just get this or from Amazon. Thanks
Almost nothing at Kaiser is cheapest OTC. Always look at Costco, Walmart, or Amazon first.

Leave doctoring to the doctors, otherwise we end up with antivax. This is otc, had been around for 30+ years, according to my doc, and I'll trust him. Along with his advice on hygiene, vaccine, and exercise.
Fwiw there's now peer reviewed research showing that chronic pruitis after stopping cetirizine(zyrtec)/levocetirizine(xyzal) is a potential side effect. FDA has also added that to a list of possible side effects. Obviously it doesn't happen to everyone, but those that have experienced it know the night itching is awful. If it works for you and you don't get the side effect, then great! I personally experienced the side effect and just a warn people of this possible side effect.

Yes, I think OTC doesn't mean it should be taken lightly. I don't think anyone should self diagnose to either take or not take this med. One should talk to one's doctor before making that decision. This OTC doesn't mean you are allowed to be your own doctor for this med. While internet articles are awesome, one should still talk to one's doctor about their own internet learning. Also, not all doctors are equal, but a professional's advice is still something.

Too sedating...and loratidine (Claritan) is too weak and slow. Fenfexadine is much faster and Xyzal lasts way longer than any of them.
I take it at night

I usually buy from costco or amazon depending on who has the best price when I need it
BJs brand is not under $10 all the time just a few months of the year

I last bought "goodsense" from amazon because they offered me a $6 coupon which combined with 5% s&s made it $834 before tax

It had a closer than usual best before date ---i think like 17 months when usually its longer from costco or amazon

I presume the coupon was just to move inventory that was getting closer to expired than usual

Sams regular price is $1538 for 400 but I presume they have it on sale a few times a year too
But I can't get in sams because I am not a member
Not at costco either but a gift card gets me in

By the way- non members can buy most things online for a 5% surcharge

But usually their online price for stuff like this is $2-3 higher than the store price but its free shipping with no minimum order

I use this for a year then swap to generic Claritin. Then swap back. I have a constant mild allergy all year round and this schedule will keep me from building up a tolerance.
I never heard of this and been taking this for 10+ years- before that the generic Claritin

But a guy at lowes told me to swap pest sprays every other month so the bugs don't build up a tolerance

Similar for me. I use this for about 9 months and then when it starts to lose effect, I have to switch to generic Allegra for a few months, then back to this.

I actually switched randomly on a day to day basis.. I didn't think much of it, but 6on6off tactic seems make sense.

FYI Costco puts this on coupon in the warehouse every February (has been the case for as far back as I can remember--10+ years?). I just checked the upcoming coupon book (valid 2/2-2/27) and sure enough it's there. The $3 discount is also valid on AllerClear (generic Claritin). Warehouse pricing varies from store to store but it will probably be a buck or so cheaper than this.

Me, too...I switch every day to one of the others, but never cetrizine or it is nap time.

Try half a pill before bed. Other than a week or two in the spring, that's enough for me to work but with no drowsiness the next day. But it's supposed to work for 24 hours with a full dose.

Generic Xyzal (Levocetirizine) is the best of the bunch overall-it is an improved version of Zyrtec (cetrizine) with all but 0 sedation, just a strong or stronger than the cetrizine, and it stays working for the full 24 hours. Both cover all types of allergies, indoor and outdoor. The only exception is fenfexidine if you are in a BIG hurry in the middle of an attack, as it kicks in right away.

Claritan (loratadine) is only good for outdoor allergies-period- and it takes toooo long to work and it only lasts a few hours. Not worth it at all.

Again, Xyzal (Levocetirizine) is by far the best overall and is the best damned pill ever for all kinds of allergies and lasts the longest-really reminds me of benadryl without the sleepiness.
